ABOUT BILL STEPHENS
Bill Stephens is Eagle Ridge Log Homes' principal and master craftsman. Two decades of log-building experience in Canada, and around the world give Bill the background necessary to deliver a quality product on time and on budget.
Eagle Ridge Log Homes is based in Smithers, a small town located in the mountains of northwest British Columbia. We offer log-home construction and training services to clients worldwide.
Here's what a previous employer and a past client have to say about Bill:
"Bill Stephens worked for us during the 1980s and helped us
build several log houses and a barn. After we retired, he went on to build
log houses in both Europe and New Zealand. We can recommend Bill to anyone
requiring the services of a strong and capable log builder."
-G.W. Hobson, P.Eng., Telkwa Log Homes
"My wife and I purchased a log shell off Bill Stephens in the
Fall of 2002. The following Spring we prepared the foundation and Bill
delivered right on time. He had the boom truck place the logs on the floor
and each round fit like a glove. Bill then helped with the ridge pole
and rafters, making sure all work was completed before pulling his equipment
out to another job. I would highly recommend Bill Stephens. He
is a skilled log builder, an honest person and a fair person.
He is also willing to do the extras to make sure his client is satisfied."
-John Roper and Sara Tomlinson
Bill specializes in small to medium sized log homes (less than 2,000 square feet in size). He uses a newly developed notching system that improves on the traditional saddle notch by providing a tighter fit that reduces checking and cracking. Each home is hand built at every stage. From hand peeling and scribing to final notching with a chisel, Bill's attention to detail ensures you will be proud of the final product.
Eagle Ridge Log Homes can tailor its level of service to your particular needs: from constructing log shells to providing the services of a general contractor and delivering a fully finished home.

Eagle Ridge Log Homes is a member of the International
Log-Building Association.
